Doctor Who Podcast by Eric Grissom and Dan Johnson reviewing the classic era. That’s right, this is the good stuff. Hartnell, Troughton, Pertwee, Baker, Davison, the other Baker, and McCoy. Maybe even McGann. Some say they do it because they ran over a magical drifter who cursed them. Others claim the show was willed to them by their long-lost British “Uncle”. Whatever the reason, the one thing you can count on is these two Americans really love Doctor Who.

For some reason, Eric and Dan are continuing their video hijinks, but that doesn’t mean you audio-only folks should miss out on our gushing, unending praise for David Tennant and Catherine Tate. We discuss the second 60th anniversary special, and Dan has a big ol’ mea culpa.
Customer Reviews
Great stuff chaps
Love listening to your perspective on each episodes. I’ve watched them so many times, a fresh perspective is fascinating. Also - love the bants.
Good fun
Unpretentious and politics-free chat about Doctor Who done in a fun and easy going style that some of their British contemporaries could learn from.
Update
Oh no. The end is nigh. I’ve been listening to Eric and Dan for years and now they’re at the end it feels very sad.
But what a run ! You’ve both done so well and your content is always anticipated. I’m saving the last few episodes. Whatever you do next, good luck (How about Star Wars ? Films and TV ?) and thanks for everything you’ve done on The Old Doctor Who Show
Best Classic Doctor Who podcast I’ve found
Dan and Eric discuss and review classic Doctor Who episodes; which episodes they discuss appear to be at the behest of the rather lacklustre, at least in regards to old Doctor Who, availability of episodes on American streaming services. This meandering approach works in the shows favour, mostly stopping them getting bogged down in any one era. It will also feel very familiar to any fans growing up in the 90’s buying stories on VHS almost at random. If you’re looking for deep analysis of classic Doctor Who and detailed behind the scenes info, you won’t find it here, as the occasional fact will have come from wikipedia and some of their pronunciations will make you unsure if they have even watched the show. However it is the banter and chat as they review each story where the podcast shines. Eric and Dan are both charming and entertaining, making this an excellent way to relive old episodes. The podcast is very professionally made and a joy to listen to, far surpassing any other podcast I have found on subject matter. Highly recommend if you are an old Doctor Who fan.
