Coffeeandcroissant ,

A great Crime Novel podcast

I came across the Ruth Galloway books via my Father (a retired policeman with whom I share an addiction to crime novels) and I devoured them all in a matter of months. I love Ruth - such a relatable character - but having now read all the books I missed escaping into her world in Norfolk. The podcast is great because I can listen to the background to the characters. It’s like sitting with a group of friends talking about your favourite books. Just a joy. And a great way to find out about other crime fiction too! After the latest episode I now want to listen to the books on audio.

Such a great podcast. Thank you!

Thank you so much for the Podcasts . I listened to them with great interest. I particularly enjoyed the one about bones as I found the information absolutely absorbing. Each one of the Podcasts slightly different because of the guest/ guests input .
I have always found Authors a fascinating breed of people. Looking at life in a slightly different way from us normal mortals. But I did find one thing strange when you were discussing with Lesley and William about what your main characters looked like . I’m a reader that likes to be given a little idea on how the writer sees that character, not detailed but just an idea , small , large , fair , dark , short , tall . It makes me feel as if the writer has some sort of a image in their mind . That they have given that character flesh and bones .
I have to say that before you mention Ruth Jones as Ruth , I had already had that vision. I do love Williams Zoe . She reminded me of my daughter when she was a teenager. She seems such a real character.
Once again , thank you to you and all your brilliant guests for these Podcasts. Lynne Davis .

What a treat to have stumbled across this wonderful podcast.

I could hardly believe it! Two of my most beloved and cherished authors in conversation!! Ellie Griffiths and Mick Heron!! I was bowled over with excitement and couldn’t wait to share this podcast with one of my daughters who like me loves both Mick Heron’s books and the utterly fabulous TV series, ‘Slow Horses’ and also, all the Ellie Griffiths books. When I finish the last book in one of their series of books, I feel bereft; as if I lost good friends as that is how good the writing in as the characters are bought to life on the page and in my imagination. Thank you both, SO much and for this podcast. I love it!
Joanna.
