Awesome horror podcast, Dan and Gav are funny and knowledgable and seem like really lovely human beings. My favourite podcast, always save the episodes for weekend walks or gardening - they’re too special for work. Love the reviews, also great for anyone who isn’t sure they can watch a film - thanks boys, I never have to watch Cannibal Holocaust x

Bam! Dan and Gav delivery solid film buff chat with plenty of interesting takes on films and the genre. Have had some great recommendations of films to watch from the boys, a great listen if you love films.

I met Gav and Dan in a queue to a John Carpenter gig in London and they introduced me to Podcast on Haunted Hill. Haven't looked back. Gav and Dan or The Frog brothers as I call them put together a great show. Not only reviewing the old and new horror genre but mixing in sound bites from the films and soundtrack which compliments the show along the way nicely. There's also The World of the Strange where Gav and Dan investigate the spooky things in life like Ghosts and folklore traditions around the world. Also not to forget that this show is lots of fun. The guys bring lots of humour to the table and also involve the listeners via Facebook with movie polls, questions and answers, even nice enough to give you a little shout out on the show. I highly recommend this for your Podcast horror collection. RJ 👍

Firstly, these guys know their stuff-without claiming or attempting to be anything other than horror movie fans. It's not pretentious, too-cool-for-school, "expert" opinions; its two mates, chatting about horror movies who are obviously big fans. Yes, Gav (with the odd cameo and stuff from Dan) makes small movies and as you start to pick up when listening, lives in an area where movies are sometimes shot, but that's about as far as it goes. When it comes to the discussions, it's pure fandom from people who know what they're on about and love it. They're also not sycophantic; of movies or each other. They express different opinions and respect them when given. They don't like everything but won't shy away from subjects or films just because they don't necessarily rate them. This is what you want. Not a pair of guys who like everything for the sake of it. Guys who are afraid to express something negative in case it upsets people. That's not a real discussion. It's not real dissection. True passion comes from being able to identify and acknowledge things you don't like, as well, and being able to support your thoughts with reasons and examples. When I listen to this podcast, I don't agree with everything said and I love that! I feel like I'm in the room with them, a silent buddy - a Kenny, if you will. And sometimes I find I debate back! Yes. In public. Out loud. Exasperated because I love Saw and my loyalty of Stephen King novels left me a bit lacklustre about The Shining but I really enjoyed Dreamcatcher (not sorry) because it's loyal to the original story! Great banter and dialogues provoke that and this is what this podcast brings. You feel part of this dynamic duo and get taken along with them! What they discuss is diverse enough so you're bound to come across stuff you haven't before and you'll then want to check it out immediately and the guys have enough knowledge, without being knobbish, that you can usually trust their opinion if you're not sure. Not to mention, extra sections, like World of the Strange and Ask Jasmine, are awesome and break it all up with funny little idiosyncrasies. There are even music sections too! Basically, this is a well rounded, fun, passionate exploration of the horror genre that embraces and welcomes its audience with both arms...or tentacles...or claws ;-) Check it out!
