A consistent treat

Love their voices, love the gentle banter, love the peripatetic nature of the content.

Fabulous, with one exception

This podcast is such a joy to listen to. Interesting topics and two presenters who have wonderful narrative styles. I say two because my one complaint about the show is Richard Coles. What a crashing bore he is. Constantly interrupting topics presented by CJ or CS, with something that always comes across as “I’m so clever”. If somebody else makes a comment, he always jumps in with “I’ve done that” or “I’ve done it twice” or “I’ve done it better”. His topics per se are as interesting as the others, but his presentation comes across in a very condescending, know-it-all manner. Name dropping incessantly and, I think, obsessed with anything CS. Could his microphone be turned off while others are presenting?
