Keep your support system close and make sure everyone is up to date with what you're up to, where you're travelling to etc. We also talk about the importance of having a back up plan in life. Things don't always turn out the way you think so having a second option is so important.

Abortion Laws, Catcalling And Why Feminism Is Still So Important

Abortion Laws, Catcalling And Why Feminism Is Still So Important

Part 2 of our chat with Sheffield Uni Politics students, Ella Johnson and Lily Grimshaw. In this episode we are discuss why feminism is still so important in this strange time that we are in at the moment. With laws in place against women that seem to be taking us even further backwards, how do we push forwards against this? How is it a mans choice to what a woman chooses to do with her body? Is feeling frustrated against outdated biblical laws, all the way through to catcalling and pay gaps, is it just something we have to get used to or will things ever improve? Feminism is so important and we are affected in so many ways that some of us may not even be aware of. Educate yourself and do what you can for the Sisterhood. Politics, Bore Off Brexit, And The Importance Of Voting

Politics, Bore Off Brexit, And The Importance Of Voting

This week, Producer Ema takes the hosting seat whilst Paris is snowed under with exams. We are joined by Ella Johnson and Lily Grimshaw, both politics students at the University of Sheffield. On the morning of recording, Theresa May announced she was resigning. What does this mean, and what's next? We (briefly) cover the topic of Brexit and why is it SO important for young people to be voting, having conversations and simply being informed. We also talk about the difference it could make if the influencers of the internet used their platform to spread some important messages about real life topics.

Body Confidence, Mental Health, And Knowing When It's Time To Take A Break

This week we are joined by Saskia and Nicole. In this very personal and real episode, we talk about eating disorders, substance abuse and knowing when it's time to give your mind and body a break. The modelling industry is known for being fast-paced and the pressure to look a certain way is often unbearable for the people involved in it. Nicole tells us how she's taken a year out to recover from her problems and how she's getting back into modelling, this time with a new happy brain. Saskia talks to us about her own experiences and how her agency, Brother Models, embrace people of all kinds; all weights, heights and features, and encourages them to be whoever they want to be.
This is a very real episode that we hope helps anyone going through eating disorders or substance abuse problems.
