Like a Sunday afternoon in the pub with mates
This show is a joy - a rambling, fun conversation with occasional fascinating facts, always witty, amusing and sometimes moving.
Cannot recommend highly enough to fans of Pratchett and good company.
Like chatting with best friends…
if my best friends were Pratchett fans. (How am I married to someone not a Discworld fan?!) Brilliant discussions, sharp insights, and hilarious tangents. I just feel very very at home with the way these podcasts meander through the subject material. You will laugh out loud often, and possibly tear up occasionally if you mourn the great man who made this “family” possible. So be warned if you don’t like being looked at weirdly in public. 😂
With every book I appreciate the genius of Pratchett more and more. I always knew he was amazing, but the discussions of all the clever references are just wonderful - I’ve learned so much by looking into them further.
What a shame
I usually love anyone who wants to talk about Pratchett, but one of the hosts cannot stop talking about her absurd views on gender and unfortunately her narcissism, typical of everyone who thinks they are of a special sacred class, ruins what could otherwise be a really nice discussion between friends about a wonderful world and the author who created it. It’s amazing that someone can appreciate so much of Pratchett’s genius while being so intellectually bankrupt that they’re happy to slander and defame rather than engage with honest disagreement. Time to get off the internet and the forums, and the rest, and talk to more real people without poisoning everything with your neoreligious nonsense.
