Customer Reviews
Superb exploration of the illness and stigma of addiction
This is a compassionate, revealing and deeply insightful series of conversations. Finty and John completely understand their subject and associated issues with deep personal and professional experience. There are some superb guests who all bring a unique perspective. You find yourself frequently saying “yes, I experienced that!”. Highly recommended and something of a relief to have discovered it.
A gem.
I’m not normally one for podcasts but I visited this one during lockdown after hearing Vinty talk to my husband about it last year when he was applying her makeup. After several attempts to stop drinking I recently started an outpatient detox treatment and managed two months before relapsing BIG TIME. I definitely hit my low point…last 7 days ago. Since then I’ve had my phone in my pocket playing The Wagon several times and It’s really helped to focus on my recovery and given me loads of ideas. The comment from Cinty about when you relapse you go right back to your low point straight away, it’s not a slow process, it’s BOOM and your right back. I can’t get that thought out of my head and I’m glad. Looking forward to more episodes.
Wow
This has enriched my existence. What a positive and healthy approach to life and therapy and supporting each other through the tough times. I feel all the better for having listened but I now don’t know what I will do without it!
