    Flow with Fay (Teaser)

    Flow with Fay (Teaser)

WTN is testing a new podcast format. Let us know what you think of it by emailing info@wetakenote.com. The short segment features social entrepreneur Fay who works with Uncle Ed's Damn Good Vodka as well as Public Project, a hemp-derived clothing brand. She went from being a lawyer to an entrepreneur after moving from the the UK to CA; it's been a meandering journey, but she has succeedbed by incorporating more "flow" into her life. To accent that, we added binaural beats courtesy of Greenred Productions and a Tibetan singing bowl to elevate your enjoyment while listening to her first-person narrative. Our goal is to inspire our listeners to challenge themselves by stepping out of their comfort zone and making tangible steps toward achieving their entrepreneurial endeavors.

Hustle vs. Flow - Safiya & Fay

Hustle vs. Flow - Safiya & Fay

This episode of the podcast features Safiya, from earlier in the season, and Fay. Both are amazing female entrepreneurs who met with host Ashley Coffey at CENTRL, a cool co-working space in Little Tokyo. Fay was a corporate lawyer in the UK, but decided to make a career change in the US so that she could make a difference by leaving the 9-5 hustle behind her. She wanted to build her life so that it was a reflection of her fundamental values. Then Public Project (a hemp clothing company) and Uncle Ed's Damn Good Vodka (a sustainable, small batch beverage company) were born. In doing so, she felt like she was adding value to the world around her by cutting environmental costs. Through their conversation, they discuss Bréne Brown, the power of vulnerability, the power of community, wellness and social entrepreneurialism. Hustle vs. Flow - Maxine

This episode of the We Take Note podcast features Maxine Goynes, a high-spirited entrepreneur in the health and wellness space. When she isn't sharing her #MGMethod with her clients, this former Division I athlete is exercising, eating healthily or traveling the globe. She recently went to Europe and shared her insights on the gastronomy there vs. the United States. When host Ashley Coffey met up with Maxine for the podcast in Brentwood, CA, the two chatted about her time playing soccer, her connection with her father, how she remains positive, and the benefits of making physical health a priority. She has also graciously offered to gift LA-based podcast listeners with a complementary training session. Hustle vs. Flow - Celina

During this episode of the podcast Ashley met up with Celina Rodriguez a creative director, make-up artist, and entrepreneur. She’s usually booked and busy working on FM28 so we’re glad we were able to link up with her while she was free. She’s often somewhere between Los Angeles, NYC, and Miami, but work often takes her internationally too. Our UK listeners may have even spotted her in London last year. In addition to traveling, Celina donates her time to worthy causes and has even mentored high school students with podcast guest Jacqulyn Whang. If you’re interested in learning more about Celina, check her out on Instagram @thecelinarodriguez.

    Hustle vs. Flow - Victoria

    Hustle vs. Flow - Victoria

On this episode of The We Take Note Podcast Ashley met up with Victoria Cassinova, a talented visual artist. She has collaborated with OBEY founder Shepard Fairey and was recently featured in his Power to the Parks group show at Subliminal Projects. She was also on a panel alongside him for We Rise LA, a 10-day immerse event highlighting mental health awareness. When she creates with brands, like Reform Alliance, created by Jay-Z and Van Jones, she thinks of it as putting on different "hats" and finds a way to bring the client's vision to life by integrating her artistic aeshtetic. As a visual communicator she talks about the highs and lows of the industry, anxiety, and her creative flow. Hustle vs. Flow - Mariella

    Hustle vs. Flow - Mariella

Out of all the people WTN has featured on the podcast, we've known this guest the longest. We'd be biased if we didn't say that she's one of our favorite people too. Her name is Mariella Angela, and some of you may have seen her work at ComplexCon, on the cover of LA Weekly, or inside your favorite rapper's house. Did we mention she did a sponsored collaboration with the movie, "Creed II" in Atlanta at prolific producer Mike WiLL Made-It's spot? Clearly, she's a talented oil painter. But what we love most about her is her ability to keep it real. During the podcast we talk about what it takes to really make it as an artist and her our mental health journey. Like, is the "crazy artist" stereotype justified or just another socialized idea we should work to change? You decide after listening to this episode sponsored by Equilibria, a CBD company.
