Good podcast review of the game
This podcast has lost it’s way
Hugely disappointing podacast which hardly suggests that it has its finger on the pulse of Welsh rugby.
This pod begins with a rebroadcast of an interview with Hadleigh Parkes. Not only was it a repeat but the topic was the Six Nations of two seasons ago!
Then there was an interview with Callum Sheedy, discussing matters of three weeks ago!
Now, we’ve just experienced a disastrous weekend of rugby where all four Welsh regions crashed out of the European Cup/Shield competitions in shambolic fashion, with talk of a crisis in Welsh regional rugby. And that’s what I was hoping this podcast would be addressing, not events of 2 seasons and 3 weeks ago.
It’s high time whoever organises these podcasts to get a grip on things. You have very good rugby writers on your team in Simon Thomas, Mark Orders and Matthew Southcombe who are able to provide insightful and informed analysis and views, so why not use them to discuss the current, pressing rugby issues, instead of trotting out old previously broadcast interviews and discussing old news?
I’m sorry to write such comments but I’m a long-standing listener to what used to be an excellent podcast but in this issue it has lost its way badly.
Encore! Gem of a podcast
There aren’t enough Wales-focused rugby podcasts, so this one is rare gem. Too many rugby podcasts try hard to be funny and don’t get into enough detail about the actual rugby. This podcast gets into loads of detail and lifts the lid on the game in Wales.
