The Unlikely Travelers and their story of Wanderlust with Goon and Smallz
The Lifestyle Brothers Goon and Smallz join me to talk about their escapades around the world. They are the unlikely travelers, two Black men from the Bronx who collectively have been to 120 countries around the world. Side story, I bet you can't guess which one is Goon and the other Smallz, and Goon is short for "Goonies". You will have to listen to the show to find out. What their stories tell us is that it doesn't take much to just get up and go, but you must make sure that it is an adventure. Lord knows I couldn't keep up with their schedule while traveling. I need to lay on the beach for a while. :) Please make sure to listen to the end as they give the tools needed to break the limiting beliefs around travel.

Celebrating 4 years of "What's Your Revolution?" with Guest #1 Oliver Thomas
4 years ago, the consciousness of New Orleans blessed my show as its first guest. Over the years, Oliver Thomas and I have remained friends. I am a huge fan of his story of transformation. This conversation, different from the first, discusses how men of color have the tools to build the lives they wish, the key to understanding that is to believe that we are not mired in the muck of life, we are sitting in the soil taking in the necessary nutrients that will catalyze our successes. The consummate politician, orator, provocateur, Oliver spins a beautiful narrative about his revolution 4 years later. It is a wonderful show.
As we celebrate 4 years of WYR, we will continue to have more of my favorite guests on to mark this journey. Please make sure you subscribe, listen, and comment. Our goal is to get this show into the top ten in the next month. The more likes and comments we getwill support the success of the show. Thank you so much to all our supporters. We love you!
A life Redeemed with Criminal Justice Activist Dr. Jack Monell
Redemption - the ability to come back from the brink and then to live out your purpose. This typifies the existence of Dr. Jack Monell, criminal justice reform activist, and professor. Dr. Monell's story is quite compelling. He was incarcerated at a young age only to have some good men see his light and provide him with his north star. You know these were men of Omega. As I mention in the show, contrary to popular belief, We are legendary in every way. Dr. Monell proves that no matter your life circumstance you can find a different path, you can find redemption. This is evident as he and his team worked fervently to secure the release of Ronnie Long, a man wrongfully convicted of a crime and who spent 44 years in prison. Can you believe that revolutionaries, 44 years? This is a must listen with Dr. Jack.
Special Episode: Generational Inheritance with Serial Entrepreneur Kelli Saluny
My sis, Carol's Daughter alum, and Director of Strategic Partnerships at Camelback Ventures, Kelli Saluny joins me to discuss her revolution. To be clear the first half this conversation is a masterclass in entrepreneurship and leadership as she chronicles her time at one of the most prolific Black women led startups in history. The second half is just as weighty as Kelli details her Generational Inheritance Initiative and the #NextinLineMovement she is dropping on February 9th. (camelbackventures.org/inheritance). The simple question she poses is what are you passing down to the next generation to ensure that there are successful and they can continue to dismantle the barriers placed in front of them. I know I am passing down this revolution, Black men are dope and their stories of influence should be passed down. Please make sure you join Kelli and Camelback Ventures in this movement. The path to self-actualization with "Bout that Life" author Rashib Thomas
Did you know that only 2% of the world self-actualizes according to Maslow? For some reason, most of us get stuck at one of the lower rungs of the hierarchy of needs, most likely at love and belonging or self-esteem. Those who do self-actualize are some of the most prolific people in the world. What if you could be one of those persons, one of those people of getting to the top of the mountain. Leadership coach, Rashib Thomas joins me on the show to discuss his headliner book, 'Bout That Life", which is a guide to finding your purpose and self-actualizing. Like most of my guests on the show, Rashib drops nugget after nugget on how to get out of your way, detailing how to show up fully for yourself and the people around you. What are the ‘choice points, beliefs, and ways of being’ to manifest change!
