interesting theatre chat with a gentle voice

Chris has the most gentle voice but there is lots of interesting theatre chat contained herein. Very conversational, searching, compelling, many fascinating people. I like it a lot.

Theatre lovers must

What a pleasure this podcast is to my life. I don’t normally write reviews but there doesn’t seem to be any comments below so ill throw my two pence worth into the void. I make theatre and performance and this podcast dives right into heart of 'makers' and creative expression. Chris Goode is an excellent conversationalist and his encyclopaedic knowledge of theatre and performance blows my mind. Nine times out of ten he will know of any artist or art work mentioned by his guests which produces really good conversations...and that’s the real strength of this podcast... I never feel like Chris Goode is hosting, but that we, the listeners, are sitting at a coffee table listening into two artists talk about the thing that they love. The podcast bounces around all genres of theatre / performance from playwrights, directors, live artists, poets and drag artists which gives a great overview of process and production all fronts. I feel the podcast really found its form when Chris started having conversations with one artist at a time. Being really honest I would say to a first time listener skip the first two series (I think its the first two) and jump right into the one on one format (and if you like it then jump back to the earlier stuff). As I mentioned before I don’t really write reviews so I hope I’m doing it justice. My enjoyment definitely stems from being apart of the industry... but I do feel the podcast goes a lot deeper than that (at times) highlighting what its like to live in the United Kingdom and arts place it.

Do give it a listen if you’re in anyway interested in theatre and art.
