GIRL TALK: Can Friendships Survive When Our Friends are in Different Life Stages to Us? Ft. Louise Rumball

GIRL TALK: Can Friendships Survive When Our Friends are in Different Life Stages to Us? Ft. Louise Rumball

Have you ever struggled with feelings that your friendships have changed over the years? Do you ever feel disappointed that your friendships are changing as you grow older? If yes, this episode is for you.

Listen in to a vulnerable, honest and bold conversation I had with fellow single 30-something and OpenHouse Podcast Host Louise Rumball as we girl talk all about friendships in our thirties.

In this episode we answer an important and ever-so relevant question: can friendships survive when our friends are in different life stages to us?

As well as this we discuss the ‘curse’ of the single girl friend that meets a new love, the different types of friendships we have in our thirties, and also give tips for how to meet new friends, no matter how confident you feel about it. This is a candid, unfiltered conversation where Louise and I authentically share our personal lives and friendships and say out loud things that people are often too nervous to admit.

How to Embrace Aging and Self-Love in Your Thirties and Beyond Ft. Dr Amanda Hanson

How to Embrace Aging and Self-Love in Your Thirties and Beyond Ft. Dr Amanda Hanson

Dr Amanda Hanson worked for years as a clinical psychologist until pivoting to become a speaker, life coach and thought leader for women. Her brand Revolutionizing Midlife is about redefining and reclaiming what it means to be a woman and how we can refuse to subscribe to the aging ideals that dictate how women should be covering wrinkles with botox, dyeing their hair to cover up the greys, and to become less sexy and less outspoken as they mature.
In this episode we delve into why women have been taught and signaled to think of aging as something negative and how we can start to shift this paradigm to revolutionise the way that we grow older. We discuss the difference between ‘Baby Princess’ and ‘Queen Energy’ and how to shift your energy and go out into the world each day feeling powerful and sexy (no matter your age).
If you are ready to feel inspired about being in your thirties and growing older- this episode is for you!

How understanding your attachment style can help you in dating and relationships ft. Stephanie Riggs

You may have heard all about attachment styles, but you probably haven’t heard Stephanie Rigg’s take on attachment, which is such a breath of fresh air in a world where we are so quick to put people in attachment-style boxes.
In this week’s episode we dive into what attachment style is and the different types of attachment, how to manage attachment styles in dating and relationships, the anxious-avoidant dynamic, whether we need to label our attachment style and discuss it with our partner (or potential partner) and how to work on your attachment style to create a sustainable partnership.
We also discuss Steph’s transition from corporate lawyer to relationship coach and how she came to have one of the most popular attachment and relationship podcasts.

How to Fully Accept the Path You Are On in your Thirties and Grieve the Path not Taken

How to Fully Accept the Path You Are On in your Thirties and Grieve the Path not Taken

A one-off preview of a module from my brand new course Next Chapter in Love. Within the course, there are 27 self-study modules to help you transform your current love life, and this episode offers you an exclusive preview to one of the topics in the course.
After working with hundreds of women in their thirties, a pattern I often see is how many people feel frustrated or disappointed about how their thirties were not as they expected them to be.
When we hold on to a perception of how our lives ‘should look’, it affects how we accept where we are right now- and when it comes to our love life, this can often show up in how we date and approach our relationships.
In this solo episode I share my thoughts on how to accept the path that you are on, whilst also giving space to grieve the path never taken. This way, you can learn how to take healthy and conscious action steps to build your next chapter and break free from the past.

How to navigate your Saturn Return and Trust Your Timing in Dating and Relationships ft Alice Bell

How to navigate your Saturn Return and Trust Your Timing in Dating and Relationships ft Alice Bell

Did you know that in astrology the age of 29 (and the lead up to it) is particularly significant because it marks our ‘Saturn Return’: a time re-evaluation and considering how you want the next chapter to be?
I have invited Alice Bell, the author of “Trust Your Timing’ and astrolger for British Vogue to explain all about Saturn Returns and how we can best navigate them. In the episode we discuss the growing pains of Saturn Returns, sharing both of our experiences of going through our own, and we also talk about the other relevant astrological ages that can mark big changes and transitions.
We also dive into the topic of Alice’s book: how you can trust the unique timing of your own journey and use astrology to support dating and your journey to a relationship.
This episode is for you if you want to work on your own trust in divine timing and explore how astrology can support you in your journey.

This makes me feel so much better!

This podcast has made me feel happier, stronger and more powerful as a woman in her early 30s. I have struggled with being single in my 30s and all the amazing interviews have really helped me with perspective and helped me LOVE my life! Thank you for making this because it’s what we all need, not just more societal pressure that we’re not ‘where we should be’!

The best podcast I’m listening to - beautiful and empowering

Emma is an amazing host and clearly brings out the best in her podcast guests and clients. They seem to really own their vulnerability, speak honestly and beautifully, and lean into attitudes of empowerment, strength and optimism on this tricky journey that is Life. It’s amazing what she’s doing, we need more people and podcasts like this in the world. We are in this together!
