“The gospel is like a caged lion. It does not need to be defended; it just needs to be let out of its cage.” ~Charles Spurgeon
The Unchained Gospel is a movement geared toward awakening Christians to the reality of what it meant to be a Christ-follower in the 1st century AD, and what it should mean for us today. Following the model of the Apostles of proclaiming the name of Jesus in the public square, The Unchained Gospel is looking for a community of people to take the message of the gospel outside of the four walls of church building, where it is acceptable and easily palatable, and take it out to the streets and marketplaces with gritty, grassroots, and bold proclamations of Jesus Christ. Our goal is to let the lion (the gospel) out of its cage by boldly proclaiming the good news in a public setting, so that it can overpower and overthrow the work of the enemy and ultimately set the captives free from their bondage to sin and death. It’s Time for Churches to Reopen (whether they are “allowed” to or not)
Nearly five months ago I was burdened to write an appeal to churches who seemed to be ignoring the suspected severity of the COVID-19 pandemic. At the time there were so many unknowns that I was concerned that people were putting themselves at risk for the wrong reasons. A lot has changed since then. We […]
“Do Justly, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly” (One Christian’s Response to Injustice & Division in America)
I am grieved because I am unable to properly articulate the necessary empathy for those in our country that are being mislabeled, mistreated and abused because of their skin color. I am grieved because our enemy, the Devil, has successfully planted seeds of hatred and ignorance in so many hearts that has produced the bad […]
Dear fellow Christian, the world is watching our response to the COVID-19 Pandemic
"If a Christian recognizes the risk of what they are doing when they choose to ignore stay-at-home orders, then my prayer is that their decision is based on our calling as Christ followers to deny ourselves and take up our cross, and not simply to protect the United States Constitution. We pledge our allegiance to the King of Kings, not to a document or a country. Sadly, many people are making the decision based on the assumption that the exercise of their faith in supernatural immunity ensures their safety and has nothing to do with the cost of true discipleship. God's ways are not our ways. He chooses to heal according to His will, not our demands. Somehow we have ignored the countless examples in the Bible where this holds true."

[Essay] Walk in Sacrificial Love (Ephesians 5:1-7)
“Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.” Ephesians 5:1-2 They say imitation is the highest form of flattery. And as children often look up to their parents […]
