The Songcards Podcast Ep. 8 — Fractured Spine

The Songcards Podcast Ep. 8 — Fractured Spine

    About the band
Fractured Spine is a duo band consisting of Finnish cousins Antti and Timo Kirjavainen.
They describe their music as experimental, atmospheric, and melodic, incorporating many death/doom metal elements into most of their songs.
The band has received positive reviews in specialised press, such as WoodBangers.
Fractured Spine has taken almost every influence under the sun and compiled it into one. They exhibit a heavy influence derived from the Industrial/Experimental music genre, while maintaining a strong grasp on their death, speed, and metal roots. This is a group that stands out on their own, with no clear comparison to other bands ~ Woodbangers

    About the Songcard
We're proud to have gathered in this Songcard our 2 new singles "All for Nothing" and "Daughter" + 2 other of our most accomplished songs, as well as lot of pictures, our official clip + an exclusive video review by RockMetalBands.

The Songcards Podcast Ep. 7 — Curse Of Yig

The Songcards Podcast Ep. 7 — Curse Of Yig

    About the Artist
The story of Curse Of Yig is an unusual story as the band was formed by chance on 15th May 2021 by 2 experimental one man bands: Norse Vitki (Viking doom death metal, Norwegian one man band now based in Tennessee) and Kenneth (heavy and blues metal from Sweden).
Curse Of Yig have so far produced the very original and talented EP "Crawling Chaos" dedicated to the great American writer H.P Lovecraft.
    About the Songcard
I'm especially proud to present you in this Songcard all the 6 songs of this album from which you can listen "Iä Iä ! Cthulhu Fhtagn !" directly from the player. As bonus I added the 4 songs of my band Curse Of Yig that I created with Kenneth from Sweden. "In his house at R'lyeh dead Cthulhu waits dreaming."

With a passion for hard-hitting beats and an uncompromising approach to sound design, her sets are known to be intense and powerful experiences. She began experimenting with production and DJing, honing her skills and developing a unique sound that would come to define her career.
In the early days of her career, Lau.tastic made a name for herself by performing at underground parties and local clubs, but it wasn't long before she began to make waves in the international scene, playing mainly in the UK but also travelling to Spain, Italy, Colombia or even Bulgaria.

    About the Songcard
Lau.tastic tells us the inspiration behind her first Songcard
This is the artwork created for this Hard techno track. This is the way I envision it...It tells you a story of how a video game character gets out from the grave and start looking around. Something woke him up from his peaceful sleep and he is not quite sure why. He is some sort of ninja soldier with a couple of katanas on his back and somehow super ready to battle. He finds himself lost and physically injured, all around him there are only buildings in ruins, everything is demolished, destroyed, deserted. It is nearly night time... An apocalyptic landscape surrounds him, creepy sounds whizz through the air. Suddenly he feels trembling with fear and needs to fight for his life, slaying around and finding his way among dark creatures that lay in wait to attack him. Fortunately and after a long journey, desperate to find some answers he manages to kill those creatures and get safe to his shelter. Exhausted he rests, unsure if this would be the end of that terrific experience just lived.
