Desert Island Dishes - MP Kerry McCarthy
Our last episode from the Desert Island Dishes specials and we are finishing this chapter with a fantastic guest - Labour MP Kerry McCarthy.
In this episode Kerry lets us in on what vegan food they serve at the House of Commons and what it has been like being a vegan in parliament over the years. She also talks about COP26 and the reality of how difficult it actually is to get everyone to stop eating meat.
Kerry walks us through all her favourite foods and share with us her sodium addiction and what it was like to be vegan 30 years ago in Luton.
She finishes with her thoughts on the war that is happening at the moment in Ukraine and her connections with both Russian and Ukraine.
