AltoVita has absolutely flourished during the pandemic, almost tripling in size. Vivi has some great advice for the budding entrepreneur and shares her journey which has taken her across Australia, the USA, Hong Kong and now London.
Vivi shared lots of great insights into her leadership skills and how being an open and caring leader has worked really well for her, she is very keen on listening and filtering that down from top and taking everyone on her journey. Sandra and Vivi chat about how hiring into small companies means you really have to sell it to the employees and drive the business dream forward. Leadership is not always smooth sailing and you have to be able to act quickly and respond to that, so it is key to have a robust hiring process.
Vivi says she has found it a challenge that as the business grows, she needs champions for each department so the business doesn’t bottleneck, with her being the decision-maker. She recommends that leaders show that they genuinely care and want to learn a little bit of what everyone is doing, and gain some understanding.
