The Paris Commune as a trigger to talk about the city, communities, public space, gender, fears, and resistance. I talked with Catarina Botelho about the act of breathing as an act of freedom. And with André Guedes on the exploration of the idea of happiness from the utopia of the Paris Commune.

Leitura de textos do livro “Great Anonymous Sex” de João Pedro Vale e Nuno Alexandre Ferreira. O livro foi publicado em 2019, com os textos escritos por Nuno Alexandre Ferreira para a peça sonora com o mesmo título, apresentada inicialmente na Galeria Cristina Guerra como parte da exposição “A Mão na Coisa, A Coisa na Boca, A Boca na Coisa, A Coisa na Mão (2018)”. Depois de impressos, os livros foram intervencionados por João Pedro Vale, que ejaculou de forma aleatória sobre as páginas dos 50 exemplares que foram depois, individualmente embalados a vácuo.

Reading of texts from the book "Great Anonymous Sex" by João Pedro Vale and Nuno Alexandre Ferreira. The book was published in 2019, with the texts written by Nuno Alexandre Ferreira for the sound piece with the same title, initially presented at the Cristina Guerra Gallery as part of the exhibition "A Mão na Coisa, A Coisa na Boca, A Coisa na Mão (2018)". After being printed, the books were intervened by João Pedro Vale, who ejaculated randomly on the pages of the 50 copies that were then individually vacuum-packed.

O território do "comum" tem vindo a revelar-se como uma intensa interrogação do pensamento e ação contemporânea. O questionamento sobre o que é e como se configura o "comum", ou os comuns, no agora ganha uma outra urgência perante a vivência pandémica e todos os fenómenos associados que vivemos.
Será este o momento de consolidar configurações alternativas de "comum" que já estavam a ser experimentadas? Deve ser o agora encarado como crucial para a concretização desse "comum" reinventado? Ou, pelo contrário, com a lógica individualista e neoliberal refinada e aprofundada estaremos perante o colapso de qualquer possibilidade de "comum? E qual o lugar do "comum" nos campos da cultura e da criação artística? E que contributos estas dimensões da vida podem dar para a construção de um "comum" ainda impossível?

O "comum" nestes tempos como uma multiplicação de possíveis comuns futuros a serem experimentados hoje.

The territory of the "common" has been revealing itself as an intense questioning of contemporary thought and action. The questioning about what the "common" is and how it is configured, or the common ones, now gains another urgency in the face of the pandemic experience and all the associated phenomena that we live.
Is this the moment to consolidate alternative configurations of "common" that were already being experienced? Should this now be seen as crucial for the realization of this reinvented "common"? Or, on the contrary, with the refined and deepened individualistic and neoliberal logic we are facing the collapse of any possibility of "common"? And what is the place of the "common" in the fields of culture and artistic creation? And what contributions can these dimensions of life make to the construction of a "common" that is still impossible?

The "common" in these times as a multiplication of possible future common to be experienced today.
