Watch If You Dare is a podcast exploring horror cinema through the eyes of a coward and the eyes of a longtime fan. Each episode, Aaron (a horror movie monster boy) and his longtime friend Derek (a lover of the dark and macabre, but a spooky celluloid coward) watch a new movie and then attempt to put their bony fingers on why jumpscares, supernatural entities, and other phobias get under our skin. Whether you’re a hardened horror expert, a casual in a love-hate relationship with scary cinema, or just a victim of a dare, join Derek, Aaron, and the occasional guest or two and face your fears. dare to listen

Hosts have great chemistry and will really draw you in to their delightful world of horror.
They give loving nods to the "so bad its good" type B movie trash balancing the review with its merits and hilarious faults as well as discussing the genuinly frightening horror movies, covering the whole spectrum.
They discuss the context and history behind the movies and give insights into why this movie was done like this, such as what was scary at the time to people in the 80s (the answer is: everything!!!). Easy listen, and makes you keep coming back

If you can't watch, listen to DARE instead!

Watch If You Dare is a great show if, like me, you enjoy some of the psychological themes of horror, or cross-overs with other genres like sci-fi-horror and folk-horror, but you're wary of unsettling viewing experiences. The hosts break down the events and psychological themes of horror films in a way that is engaging and compelling. I listened to get up to speed on cultural touchstones like the Chainsaw Massacre and Patrick Stewart's appearance in The Green Room; time will tell if this encourages me to actually watch a horror movie! Audio and production values are excellent.

Great show, wonderful analysis

The hosts have great rapport, which made this a really easy listen. But best of all, they opened up new ways of looking at Audition, one of the most disturbing and interesting movies I have every seen. It hits the right tone, deep without every getting too serious. Well done!
