In Watch And Learn, a cast of three members dissect media through the lens of the ignorant. Every week, your host Dougss is joined by two guests to discuss a different movie, TV show, or game. But one of them has only seen a trailer (if they're lucky), so they'll have to predict what they think it's about while the other two educate them. New episodes launch every Sunday, and Patrons get bonus episodes every other week.
What happens when you live under a feudal system, and the land owner suddenly dies without leaving any heirs? You become Noblesse. That’s not at all what this anime is about, but past Joe and past Krissy don’t know that. Sam does. He’s weird like that.
How much do you know about fanfic? Was your answer anything other than “what the heck fanfic?” Congratulations! You officially know more than Joe.
This week, Krissy and Tyler explain some of the aspects of fanfiction to Joe. Join us, but be warned: we’re gonna get real nsfw.
112. The Two Towers
I don’t know if you guys saw Watch and Learn 69, but if you did, you got to hear Krissy absolutely mental over Lord of the Rings. Well, here she goes again, talking about the Gimli/Legolas ship (Gimgolas? Legli?) for 13 hours straight (we edited it down for you).
111. Blade Runner
Blue tries to explain Blade Runner to Krissy and Joe while the replicants try to jam his transmission. But he got enough across to teach us the basics.
110. Thomas the Tank Engine
Did you know Thomas the Tank Engine has lore? What are you picturing now? Smiling trains chugging happily along, cheerfully transporting passengers to and fro, ending their day satisfied with a job well done? Y’know what you weren’t picturing? Trains dying on the mountainside in horrific detailing accidents. Trains getting their face removed so it can be attached to a different train. Two train brothers pretending to be one train so that they can be spared the searing heat of the smeltery fires. All this and more on this week’s episode with Sam, Krissy, and Joe. Have fun sleeping tonight.
109. Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable
Oh god… it’s another JoJo. Season 4: Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend. I could describe Diamonds are Forever, but there is no describing JoJo. As has become tradition, Sam listens to Tyler and Joe accidentally guess the plot of a future season while trying to guess the plot of Diamonds on the Soles of her Shoes.
