Whale of a Time

Lovely show. Three great hosts who are expert and informative whilst being aware enough of their audience to avoid too much technical language.

My only criticism is that at the beginning of each episode they don’t assume that they are talking to first-time listeners with little or no knowledge of the field. For example, announcing the birth of a calf without mentioning up front that it’s from a coastal pod of orcas could be a little off-putting for anyone who can’t parse why they’re so excited.

It’s such a relief to hear wonderful communicators who—unlike so many other podcast hosts—don’t appear to think the world revolves around them. They keep it all focused on what the world should revolve around: whales and dolphins (and porpoises too).

The whale friends I wish I had in real life 🐋

I love this podcast! If you like learning about whales and other cetaceans, and especially if you don’t work in the field (or ocean- LOL) of cetaceans, it’s hard when you want to talk about whales and nobody else is that interested.. haha! Listening to this show makes me feel connected to a community of fellow whale enthusiasts- so thank you from the UK! Keep up the good work!

Whaley Great!

As the title says this is a great podcast to take a deep dive with the wonderful creatures that roam our oceans. Also, I really liked the tips to reduce plastic and recycle it.
Thank you!
