What is Maternal and Neonatal Advocacy with Karen-Grace Siriboe Strong For Everyday

    • Health & Fitness

In this week's episode I'm talking with Karen-Grace Siriboe. Karen is a communications and PR specialist in maternal and neonatal advocacy as well as a trained midwife.

In this episode we discuss the term advocacy in relation to pregnancy and pregnancy outcomes; how can expectant mothers and their families advocate for themselves at any stage during pregnancy and labour and how this also forms part of the discussion around women from BAME communities being 5 times more likely to die from complications during pregnancy and childbirth.

Karen will be speaking at a virtual conference on Saturday 7th November, called BAME Birthing with Colour. To register, go to www.bamematernity.com.
