What It's Like... to be Sophia Money-Coutts What It's Like ... with Luce

    • Society & Culture

On today’s episode, I’m chatting with an award-winning journalist and author, who just so happens to be Tatler magazine’s ex features director. Growing up, this week’s guest knew she would forge a career in journalism but how, was the million dollar question. Graduating with a degree from London School of Economics, she realised with a jolt of reality that entering the world of storytelling wasn’t going to be as straightforward as stepping on to a well paid graduate scheme in one of the city’s corporations, as many of her friends were setting out to do. A stroke of luck and a tenacious attitude rewarded her with an opportunity to assist on the features desk at the Evening Standard and well, the rest is history! Taking her across the sea to the sandy deserts of Abu Dhabi and plunging her into the notorious world of Labradors, castles and dukes - her life is quite the compelling story in itself. Currently working on her fourth book in lockdown we spoke about making it in media, dealing with online trolls and what it’s really like to release a novel. Without further ado, here’s what it’s like to be Sophia Money-Coutts.

Visit Sophia's website for more information on her writing and career and follow her on social media for updates.
