With Me Now is a show about parkrun passion by passionate parkunners. Nicola Forwood and Danny Norman return from a 3-year hiatus of parkrun podcasting to bring home the going's on from around parkrunworld. From touring to volunteering and everything inbetween.
With Dreams of June Now - feminine clap forgetfulness
A new month and lots to reflect on, as well as much to look forward to. There's all your stats, posts and feedback too!
With Light at the End of the Tunnel Now - challenge choices and parkrun patience
It's another double monologue week from Nicola as she shares her reasons for life choices and ice cream. Mark runs on Strava like a fish and both take on the art of palliteration as they share your runs and arbitraries. As we take the first journey on the roadmap out of lockdown, both agree in the therapy of running. There's all your parkrun and (not)parkrun stats too, if Mark remembers to look for them.
With Winning Pancakes Now - tree wees and Stravabitaries
This week, the buzz of the WCopB is in the air as the winning parkrun is announced. Nicola has a wee spot of trouble on one of her challenge runs, but still manages to throw down an arty Strava challenge to Mark. We hear of SCAM, pups, prosecco and palliteration from your emails and arbitrary posts. There's a book relay and parkrun webinars to get involved in too!
With No Authoritah Now - Conwy or the highway
This week, the excitement of WCopB reaches fever pitch as the competition reaches the semi-final stages. There’s a tale of two challenges, Elliott’s stats and sharing of some of your 16 words of parkrun beauty, whilst Mark attempts to gate-crash Nicola’s monologue status.
With Shanty Earworms Now - humble brags and WCopB fever
This week, Nicola and Mark really embrace the World Cup of parkrun Beauty fever that is rife at the moment. There's no playing of cards close to their chests as favourites are revealed whilst Nicola plays a few cards of her own. There's the usual digs at Stewart Harding, but could this be the week he gets revenge? We share some of your comments and humble brags as well as the full version of your latest earworm.
With World Records Now - lockdown, schmockdown
After the incredible news of a new world record at parkrun, Nicola and Mark share Danny's interview with Lauren Reid as well as sharing all of your achievements and arbitraries from the past week. Nicola invents a "mono-nag" whilst Mark still can't get those emojis right. There's the occasional innuendo, the usual chat and will there be outtakes? You'll have to listen to find out.

Keeping the dream alive
In a year of uncertainly, restriction, confusion, frustration and isolation this wonderful little creation has shined its light like a beacon of hope.
parkrun may not be with us everywhere it was (right now) but part of the big reason the free weekly timed event success is down to the connection with people and what this pod does is keep that going, reinforcing the importance of community and staying in touch. Danny and Nicola are preserving the parkrun dream and when the reality of an event in mainland UK does take place we will be better prepared to remember why we love it thanks to them.
One of the many things we love about With Me Now is playing “Where’s Dolly?”, the audio version of Where’s Wally. The show’s talismanic feline mascot is hidden at least once in every episode 🐈
More than a pod
Danny and Nicola manage to cram together news, discussion, statistics and more from the parkrun world every week in their very unique way. Always entertaining, often thought provoking, With Me Now is an amazing podcast. But it's so much more, as while there are currently no parkruns taking place in the UK, Danny and his team have created a fantastic community that is spread out across the parkrun world, helping each other through this situation. A multitude of live online content throughout the past few months has entertained and informed, and certainly inspired me to visit new places when we can.
