Women By Example is a podcast that talks to women who are doing different and interesting things in their field of work - women who can inspire girls all over the world to take on careers, follow their passions, challenge the system and be role models.

Started by Amaara Bahanda, who saw girls not just in the U.K. where she was born and raised but also in India, where she visited family frequently; in Nigeria, through her parents work; and in other parts of the world during her extensive travels - the exposure to different parts of the world and some of the charity work she was involved in, highlighted to her the difference in the opportunities available to girls due to their socio-economic backgrounds. She wants to reach girls in different parts of the world and use the various personal stories that are to follow in these episodes to inspire them to do great things with their lives.

    Cherie Blair (née Booth; born 23 September 1954) also known professionally as Cherie Booth, is a British barrister, lecturer, writer and philanthropist. She is married to Tony Blair, who was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1997 to 2007. Mrs Blair is passionate about her legal work as well as her charity work with women through the Cherie Blair Foundation in over 100 countries.

Ms Kocak was also the CEO for GC Aesthetics between 2013-2017. She set-up and started moksha8 pharmaceuticals in Mexico in 2009. Moksha8 became on of the top 500 business in Mexico by 2012. Ms Kocak's is recognized by CNN Expansión Magazine, both in years 2011 and 2012, among the top 100 Most Powerful women in México.

    Damilola Ogunbiyi is the CEO and Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Sustainable Energy for All and Co-Chair of UN-Energy.

    Before joining SEforALL, she was the first female Managing Director of the Nigerian Rural Electrification Agency and responsible for successfully negotiating within 18 months the Nigerian Electrification Project.

    Mrs. Ogunbiyi maintains a keen interest in mentoring and empowering young people through skills acquisitions. She created the Lagos State Energy Academy to build the capacity of young people in renewable energy technology.

    Janet is a British Canadian screenwriter, producer and director. She is the co-writer and producer of ‘Social Suicide’, a feature thriller starring India Eisley (‘Underworld: Awakening’), Neve McIntosh (‘Doctor Who’) and Richard Cordery (‘About Time’, ‘Judy’) now showing on Amazon Prime. She is also the writer/producer of the award winning short ‘Show Home’ starring Natasha Little (‘The Night Manager’) and Charlie Creed-Miles (‘Wild Bill’). Janet has spent the last year working in Kenya on a feature documentary about the first female African Lacrosse team (entitled ‘Sleeping Warrior’) which is currently in post-production. She is currently in development on a comedy series with a Mumbai based production company and a thriller series with Enlightenment Entertainment (UK). She is also in development on two further features. She has an MA in screenwriting, has worked as a screenwriter at Eon (the James Bond Company) and lectures in screenwriting regularly at Lincoln University and London College of Communication.
