He was looking for someone to give themselves over to him… to eat. It’s one of the most infamous cases of modern cannibalism. (The Cannibal Who Placed a Personal Ad) *** On May 28, 1903, Dr. Francis J. Tumblety, a man with a deep-seated hatred for women and surgical skills, died in St. Louis. Intriguingly, Tumblety was in London during the gruesome Jack the Ripper murders in 1888, sparking speculation that he might be the infamous slasher. (Was Jack The Ripper From St. Louis?) *** Imagine a duel between two women. One a princess, the other a countess. Now picture them dueling topless. It really happened… and the reason for the duel? THE TRUE CASE THIS STORY IS BASED ON: On the morning of November 23rd, 2014, Andre Pugh returned home from his overnight shift to an unsettling scene. His Atlanta, Georgia, house was eerily quiet, and the usually secured side gate was open. Inside, he found his wife, Tiffany, unresponsive in the guest bedroom. Unable to wake her, he called 911, convinced something terrible had happened. Police arrived to find Andre in a frantic state outside the house. After securing his daughter Jasmine, officers discovered Tiffany and the couple's two-year-old son, AJ, in the guest bedroom. Tiffany had been shot and killed, with AJ heartbreakingly trying to wake her up. As detectives began piecing together the crime, they uncovered disturbing details. The house showed no signs of a burglary, leading them to suspect a targeted attack. Their investigation took a significant turn when they realized that Andre's knowledge of the break-in details didn't add up, raising suspicions about his involvement. Further scrutiny revealed a tumultuous marriage, financial dependency on Tiffany, and a potential motive rooted in Andre's desire to maintain his lifestyle. Ultimately, evidence pointed to Andre and his best friend, Adrian Harley, as conspirators in Tiffany's murder. Both were convicted and sentenced to life without parole, leaving their families and the community shattered and still questioning how it could have happened.

IN THIS EPISODE: Accounts of haunted lighthouses have existed for hundreds of years. To many they are considered to be isolated and romantic. Some lighthouses are possibly haunted due to tragedies from shipwrecks or other horrors that have spawned all sorts of lighthouse lore. Some who have spent the night at a haunted lighthouse come away with stories to share such as seeing a former lighthouse keeper, or resident of the keeper's home. Could they still be present in some form after their death? Could keepers possibly remain behind to make sure no further tragedies occur at sea? Perhaps the worst fear of a lighthouse keeper, a ship wrecked upon the rocks, is why some lighthouses continue to be haunted by their former captains. Lights turning on, movement of objects, disembodied voices, and see-through specters are often reported within, or around older lighthouses. Are the ghosts of these souls still on duty? Modern-day tragedies at sea still occur and so do the ghosts that eventually haunt our world. If their walls could talk, lighthouses could share many stories from the past. Unfortunately, these objects don’t have the ability to tell their tales – but the phantoms that haunt them just might.
