Read with me "Lagoon" by the same author of the Akata Series, Ms. Nnedi Okorafor. She's the author of numerous novels & short stores so there will be more stories read by her on my platform for sure! 'Lagoon' is a thriller of unparalleled suspense that will force the reader/ listener to wonder, "when aliens land, what will I do?" This week we got our feet we with the Prologue and the first 2 chapters that already start of with suspense and mystery, leaving ME on my edge of the seat. What happened to the three strangers that just so happen to cross paths at the beach?

Elevated beloved! Let's recap shall we?

Our main character, Sunny Nwazue, lives in Nigeria. Being a part of an Oha Coven of 4 in total including Sunny, ChiChi, Orlu, & Sasha. They were divinely bought together as a powerful force against mystical attacks that the ungifted are highly unaware of. So being assigned by "council" to help keep Lagos safe to then having to do more to keep the world safe due to threats of missions. Everything was to lead Sunny to her truth. Together, they've defeated Black Hat Otokota, Ekwensu, and other defenses. Now, hopefully with thr ghazal where it needs to be with Udide they have saved humanity and there's no need for another mission in quite sometime. But who knows? Will there be a sequel?

Elevated beloved! We've reached the finale of Part III of the Akata Series by Nnedi Okorafor "Akata Woman" (Chapters 23&24)!

Our main character, Sunny Nwazue, lives in Nigeria. Being a part of an Oha Coven of 4 in total including Sunny, ChiChi, Orlu, & Sasha. All though we've come to the end of "The Road" and the ghazal was given to Udide, it wasn't a surprise when Udide still tried to kill them! But Sunny, per usual, thought quick on her feet and was able to come out alive. Her and ChiChi, but why would Udide be so cruel? After all they've been thru and faced, it was finally determined that Sunny was ready to be initiated and face the test of Mbawkwa, will Sunny pass without her Coven?

Our main character, Sunny Nwazue, lives in Nigeria. Being a part of an Oha Coven of 4 in total including Sunny, ChiChi, Orlu, & Sasha. Now we have a road beast too!? Called "Bone Collector" at that!? Sheesh! They can't win for losing but it looks like Anyanwu took on that battle to prove a point for Sunny, so it seems. What lesson did Sunny learn from this? Will it help her realize just who she is? Are there anymore dangerous pop ups? This ghazal better be worth it!
