In her own words: “The first 20 years of my life, I grew up with only God to “talk” to when I was home, accepting this forced solitude, due to my father's very strict upbringing: “Burying” myself in reading, communicating with God, listening to music, and doing creative writing brought me a certain amount of inner peace. I’d already filled a few notebooks with song lyrics. The melodies were stored in my brain.”
