Movies That Made Us Gay Scott and Pete

We watched The Cell (2000) with special guest Ashley Casseday (Keep It Weird Podcast) and we're still kinda creeped out. If you love FBI procedurals, dramatic Vince Vaughn and JLo wearing couture then this movie is for you.

We watched Marie Antoinette (2006) directed by Sofia Coppola and your shoes are SO Du Barry! What would you have done if you became queen of France at 19?  Throw a damn party that's what!  Was she irresponsible?  Maybe.  Are we living for her sense of style?  Definitely.

We watched Ruthless People (1986) with our friend Ben Cheaves (TCM Underground presents: Slumberground) and we've been kidnapped by Kmart! In case you were wondering this podcast is slowly turning into a Better Midler catalog review and we're loving every minute of it. We had NO business watching this movie as kids, but Bette taught us how to take care of ourselves in a crisis situation.

We watched The Poseidon Adventure (1972) with the Legendary Miss Jackie Beat and in the water we're very skinny ladies.  The 70's were all about Disaster Movies and this one takes the cake. Where else but a 70's melodrama could a reverend, a former sex worker and a Jewish grandmother/swim champion team up to save the day... and our hearts?

We watched Batman Returns (1992) with our resident bat-guest Dylan Hay-Chapman and suddenly we feel so much yummier.  Before Robin was around to spark a sexual awakening, there was Selena Kyle AKA Catwoman (Michelle Pfeiffer) to awaken our inner villainess. And in case you were wondering - this is 100% a Christmas Movie.

We watched Christmas at Pee-wee’s Playhouse (1988) with our friend Jared Anderson and we’ve gotta call you back - we’ve got Dinah Shore on the other line! This special episode of the Playhouse is filled with more queer and camp icons than John Waters’ address book. Come for 80’s nostalgia, stay for Pee-wee pioneering Holiday Zoom calls with out of town loved ones.
