welcome back, rediscover fam! happy taurus season to all you late April/May babies, and happy 31st birthday to our very own Jessica Faye! Jess is a Taurus through and through; her grounding energy holds space for everyone to find a safe space in her company, and her childlike spirit carries higher and higher with each passing year. as i told her on her birthday (5/08 baby!), she always knows when to fly and when to land. it is a privilege to be her friend and partner on this rediscover journey, and as always, today's episode is full of her beautiful perspective on life, love, and new beginnings.
and speaking of new beginnings, I have a pretty major life update to share in this ep, so stay tuned for that! and in the midst of our devolvements about Ted Lasso, the new season of Bridgerton, Little Words Project (my current gig!) and of course, status updates on wedding plans, we're also giving our candid thoughts on Taylor Swift's latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, as well as the changes to the Eras Tour as it makes its way through Europe. 
this month's episode is all about embracing change when it feels aligned, finding beauty in the contrast (and the chaos), and shifting perspectives. when everything feels like it's happening all at once and life feels overwhelming, saying "I GET to do this" instead of "I HAVE to do this" can make all the difference in the world. Abandoning that sense of obligation, stress, frustration, and anxiety for feelings of gratitude, excitement, joy, and purpose will bring you peace in every seaosn and circumstance, and just that small shift has the power to change your life - we promise.

Welcome back, rediscover fam! Last month we worked through a lot of emotions, and now as we spring into April we have a joy-filled episode to share with you all.
First and foremost, we have a major wedding update - Kristen said yes to her dream wedding dress! 👰🏻‍♀️ She is going to tell us the full story and some lessons learned during the process. Also, in true rediscover fashion, she will mythbust what wedding dress shopping is really like vs. what we see on TV, as well as share some helpful, tangible wedding dress shopping tips that you can take into your own experience.
Additionally, as far as our world traveler goes, Jess is feeling rejuvenated and excited to share about this next portion of Nomad Life Phase 2 - Morocco, Egypt, and Kenya. These destinations are incredibly unique, and with so much newness comes an incredible amount of growth! So we're excited to dive into cultural differences and personal reflections from this chapter of the journey.

hey, rediscover fam. 
this month's episode is a little different from our more recent ones. in our own ways, we've both been feeling a little vulnerable, a little refelctive, a little...low. so, in the spirit of staying true to our pillar of authenticity, we're pulling back the curtain and sharing some of the more challenging mindsets we've been trying to shift recently, and the internal battles that we've each struggled to overcome.
 
this episode might have a less vibrant feel than usual, and our tone might be more subdued, but this conversation is one of the most real, raw, and honest ones we've ever had on the show. we'll discuss:
the self-care industry and the innumerable marketing schemes that try to sell us a "better" life than the one we're living now how being a chronic "fixer" can cause us to create problems where there were none the pressures and expectations of having a social media presence, and how living life online can blur boundaries and breed unrealistic expectations societal expectations and how major life milestones can cause a tidal wave of unsolicited opinions why we feel guilty for having bad days when we're supposed to be happy  & more! if you're in the midst of a challenging season, a significant life change, or you're just working on abandoning old minsets for new and more supportive ones, we hope this episode provides a little wisdom, a bit of solidarity, and a place to begin. we love you all, thanks for listening!

The engagement happened less than 48 hours before recording this episode, so we had the very special opportunity to record Kristen's live reaction to finding out the news. This is such a cherished memory and milestone in our journeys, and we're so glad you're all here with us as it unfolds.

Happy New Year, rediscover fam! Instead of sprinting into 2024, we're easing into the marathon of a brand new year with new perspectives, mindset shifts, and realizations that we can turn into lasting resolutions. Instead of cultivating unrealistic goals and expectations, we're exploring the small changes that have the potential to create big, impactful ripples in our lives this year, and dismantling the societal idealization of New Years resolutions that can leave us feeling burnt out, drained, and uninspired.
