- Society & Culture
I'm documenting an adventure and conversations with friends and Shipmates that I've met over the last 12 years of spending my life at sea. This podcast will be your chance to journey along with me, digitally, as I set sail for new horizons and new adventures, reflecting on lessons I've learned and ways to survive during times of isolation, whether out in the middle of an ocean or living in a pandemic. Please come join me, and welcome aboard!

Serendipity @ Sea: Meeting the Twin of S/V Rose on an Inland Ocean
One of my fondest memories from last year came on the docks of North House Folk School where I encountered another Tartan 42 - the twin of S/V Rose - as I came alongside on the 50' Schooner Hjørdis. Mark and Julie, the owners of "Suvetar" invited me to share a bottle of wine and a Gam with them. This is the story of that memorable night.

Sounds of the Sea: Bow Waves
Recorded while traveling down the coast of Nova Scotia from the Straits of Canso to the Gulf of Maine. Some dietetic sounds of the waves rolling past the hull along the bow, as we raced down eight foot seas on the first open ocean leg of The Voyage of Rose. Recorded in early July, 2020.

Returning to the Birthplace of my life as a Sailor
In this first episode, I invite you to come along with me on my sailboat Rose as I explore some of the things I've learned at sea and the people I've met along the way. This evening as the sun was setting and I was waxing poetic looking out on a limitless horizon, I decided it was time to begin telling my story. I hope that you'll find it interesting, maybe a little funny, that it'll offer you a moment to peace and reflection, and that together we can travel to some interesting places. Welcome aboard!
