Surviving as a Combat Wounded Warrior Veterans Zone

    • Documentary

Terry served 15 years in the US Army and is a Combat Wounded Veteran.  He shares his story of why he offered his services to our military, how he loved every minute of it, to being forced out do to his injuries.  Terry had 9 surgeries and endured 5 long years of recovery.  His wife also passed away due to cancer.  He spoke of the pain he went through and how the entire process made him depressed as well as how he winged himself off the pain medication because he knew what the consequences of his life would be if he had not.

Terry still serves people but in a different capacity now.   He has 37 golf tournaments to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project that helps wounded veterans in need and The V Foundation where the money goes toward research to help children with cancer.

Terry's story of resilience to not allow his circumstances dictate his life is very inspiring. His message to other veterans out there is to seek help and accept the help in order to have a successful transition to civilian life.
