TN IAMP Anbalagan Kuppusamy

TN IAMP scheme is being implemented by the Department of Horticulture in Lower pennaiyar sub basin of Thirukovilur block in Kallakurichi District with an outlay of Rs.20.92 lakhs during the year 2020-21.The main aim of the program is to introduce less water requiring horticultural crops in the sub basin area as " Alternative crops" so as to make use of the available water and to increase the area and production of horticultural crops besides increasing the livelihood of the farmers. Assistance has been given to the farmers to cultivate Fruits, Vegetables, Spices and Flowers in the form of seeds, plants and other critical inputs. Assistance for laying out Micro irrigation system has also been provided. A new component namely "Crop Incentives" has been introduced by which assistance is given to those farmers who came forward and cultivated vegetables during off season.
