Today I am particularly pleased to finally be able to present a DJane again.
At my request, she was at once on board and I'm therefore delighted to be here today with long anticipation,
to delight you all the more with her clearly defined hard techno sound.
ekøs, as she is called, comes from Buenos Aires - Argentina. She represents the underground scene with her clear, energetic, drum, rhythm and hypnotic hard grooving techno sound.
Since 2019, she has not only been behind the players, but also an organiser and A&R.
As an Resident and Organiser, for example, she is behind the Urbear and Give me fast music series of events. She worked as a content and artist manager for ‘Imminent’ Records and released her first own productions and remixes on labels such as Xelima and Asymmetrical Records.
I think enough words, let's let them speak with the words of their sound.

Unfortunately, once again my guest for this episode cancelled just before the end.
This immediately inspired me to record a musical special for you.
I decided on a Chicago House and Techno special.
Alongside Detroit, Chicago is clearly an important cornerstone. Without it, techno and house would not exist in their current form. Think about the impact that tracks like Move your Body or Acid Tracks still have today.
Frankie Knuckles began playing early electronic productions back in 1977 in the then newly opened, rather run-down but well-equipped Warehouse club. A sound that continued to develop into later house and techno, with great, unforgotten names such as
Marshall Jefferson, Larry Heard, Adonis, Tyree Cooper, Farley "Jackmaster" Funk,
Frankie Knuckles, Steve "Silk" Hurley, DJ Pierre, Phuture, Mike Dunn, K-Alexi
Bad Boy Bill, "Fast" Eddie Smith, Ron Hardy and Derrick Carter made history.
The sound was released on labels such as DJ International, Dance Mania, Jack Trax, Underground Records and Trax Records.

back here at "Electronic Styles of Art" Podcast.
Welcome to a show with a great artist from Lebanon, Jean B.
He's been DJing since he was fourteen, had his own radio show on Switch FM with eighteen and when he came third in the DMC Lebanon DJ Battle Championship with his alias Big Daddy J in 1996, things started to move steadily forward.
From then on, it was impossible to imagine the club scene without him and he made it to the best radio station Mix FM in 2000.
In 2002, he left Beirut and initially went to Jordan and finally to Dubai in 2005, where he quickly established himself in the local scene.
After releasing several of his own tracks, he is now an integral part of the Dubai scene.
As a resident at Soho Garden, Soho Beach, Code, Playroom & Hive Dubai.
With his melodic sound in trance and tech house, he now has a large fan base throughout the region.
I am delighted that he has found the time to present us with an exclusive mix today.
