In this solo episode, that I didn't even re-listen to or edit, I am reaching out to touch base after a 4 month hiatus.  I talk about using life as a teacher, as opposed to books or media, then turn around and talk about books and media that I've taken in recently.  I've been finding wonderful illustrations of spiritual concepts in everything from the literary works of Octavia Butler, to the short lived TV show "My Name is Earl." In this solo episode I am breaking down and critiquing one of the most famous occult books of the 20th century, The Kybalion.  The Kybalion claims to contain the 7 principles that govern our universe directly passed down from Hermes Thoth Trismegistus in the earliest days of Egypt, but does this claim hold up?  I explore the likely origins of this classic book and dive deep into its main concepts, now known as the 7 hermetic principles.  I was expecting this to be more analysis than critique initially, but it seems to have turned the other way.  Listen close to these critiques so that your hate mail can be as accurate as possible.

More Near Death Experiences! Can you believe it? In this solo episode I give a brief overview of the contributions of Michale Sabom, Melvin Morse, Michael Grosso, Kennith Ring, and P.M.H. Atwater, to the field of Near Death Experience research.  Then we dive a bit deeper into Dr. Atwater's research into the 4 types of NDE and discuss the implications of some of the more extreme experiences.

In this episode I lay the groundwork for discussing the concept of life continuing on after the body dies by examining the research done by Dr. Raymond Moody on what are commonly referred to as near death experiences.  This episode does not specifically talk about reincarnation however, it focusses in on the evidence gathered and research done by Dr. Moody on whether some part of us could survive bodily death which is a vital component in the research on reincarnation.  With this framework laid out we will be able to continue this conversation in the next solo episode on how this research, and the research of many others, provides evidence for reincarnation.
