Episode 270: The Adulting Rejects (Punk) [Baltimore, MD]

Episode 270: The Adulting Rejects (Punk) [Baltimore, MD]

Episode 270 features the Adulting Rejects from Baltimore, MD. They are a punk rock outfit who will be playing at Moresberger's Tavern on Friday, June 21st with us (The Hollow Truths). I wanted to get them on the show to talk about everything they’ve been up to and to help promote the show, which also features Knives with Names and the Violent Relaxation. If you’re in the Catonsville area, feel free to come out. It’s a great venue in a cool part of town. In the conversation, we talked about music, mental health, and songwriting. Check out the Adulting Rejects wherever you stream music. Thanks for listening and supporting local art.

Episode 269: The Mad Sugars (Indie Rock) [Nashville]

Episode 269 features Adam from The Mad Sugars out of Nashville. They combine dance rock and garage punk to create their own unique sound. I featured their new track, "Lost Among the Avenues." If you like The Mad Sugars' sound, you can find them wherever you stream music. Thanks for listening and supporting local artists.

Episode 267: Mojo Aces (Southern Rock) [Washington D.C.]

Episode 267: Mojo Aces (Southern Rock) [Washington D.C.]

Episode 267 features the indie rock band Mojo Aces from Washington, D.C. I would describe their sound as a throwback akin to The Black Crowes, Zeppelin, and Jet. If you like classic rock 'n' roll, you might like their latest track "Old Crow," which I featured on this episode. I first met the guys during a video shoot at The Hangar Studio in Columbia, MD. In the interview, I spoke with Jon and Ean; we talked about a lot of the local venues we all play around the DMV and Philly, as well as the guys' origin story and how they balance the 9-5 world with gigging in the local circuit. Thanks for listening and supporting local music.

Episode 256: Title Holder (East Coast Ska Punk)

Episode 265 features the NJ/NY-based ska band Title Holder, currently signed to Jumpstart Records. Their latest album was co-produced by Chris from Less Than Jake. I featured two tracks on this episode: one is called "What Better Time," and the other is "It Doesn't Matter." If you like either of them, you can find them wherever you stream music.
