It's been 7 years of Hustlin'! We got a real special episode this week because not only are we finally doing Black Caesar...PJ IS BACK!!! We got him back this week and even though he didn't see the movie, we had a lot to talk about. We discussed the good and bad of the film, the ending left some of us angry, a scene killed the momentum of the film for all of us and we had to show love to that soundtrack. We also discuss wrestling, how bulls--t car insurance is, how long you can survive with a bullet in the stomach, one of us is not a fan of a certain sexual position, Chris got called out on Patreon, Anita and PJ give their reviews for Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and YOU KNOW that PJ and I had to give our opinions on this Kendrick vs Drake beef. Until this day, all I have ever seen of Robin Hood was that quick scene in the original Shrek. Now because of Patreon, I got to see what exactly Mr. Hood is all about (And i'm not talking KMD...Someone got that reference. ) For a long time I had this confused with the Mel Brooks parody and of course this is another over two hour Kevin Costner movie! Anita had to sleep off a hangover this week so Chris and I held it down and broke the film down and all the edits we'd have done to fix the pacing. After a trip through Woop Woop last week, the energy is high again and Chris is holding it down with me once again but Anita drops some lines in-between her nap. (We recorded super late.) None of us had any idea what this movie was but Nichol from The Superiority Complex wanted us to see this so bad, that she passed me her DVD copy! We discuss the dime-a-dozen erotic thrillers of the 90s and Chris compares a certain action movie to that genre, which I couldn't believe, we give our thoughts on the multitude of rap beef tracks that have been popping up, we open up some repressed music memories and I give out my advice on headbutting. Since Awful Hero gave us this film as his Patreon pick, i've been so curious to see just what the hell this was. Chris and I watched it and I still don't know what the hell this is! I'm counting on our Australian listeners to give me some answers this week. Chris helped me out a lot this week and when we weren't hanging out in Woop Woop, we also discussed the Psycho films, The Flintstones, the Lost in Space remake from 1998, Dragon Ball Z games and we both reminisce about the old Fight Night games, Round 2 specifically. To put it the way Anita did, "We actually get to watch a real movie this week!" I admittedly wasn't as excited about this because I had seen this movie before...20 years ago. There is a story behind that and i get into it on the show but this really felt like a blast from the past. We had all pretty much seen it before, Chris only in pieces though. The conversation also gave me the chance to nerd out with some old video formats, I speak on my disinterest in Jackie Chans American film era, Anita has a ton of trivia about the film and I have to educate my co-hosts on why there are no custodians to be seen in the last part of this film after being one for over a decade in the past myself. The Patreon Picks strike hard this week. It took me years to find this damn movie! Not only did I find it, I found the "directors cut!" Dedication folks! Luckily, I had a full house to help me figure out just what the hell happened in this film as Chris, Anita and The Homie Mike Bagford are here with me!
