Fi: Aurinko paistoi kirkkaasti Helsingin Rautatieasemalla.
En: The sun shone brightly at Helsinki Central Station.

Fi: Ihmisiä kulki kiireisinä joka suuntaan.
En: People were hurrying in every direction.

Fi: Aino, Jukka ja Eero odottivat junaa.
En: Aino, Jukka, and Eero were waiting for the train.

Fi: He olivat menossa Tampereelle.
En: They were headed to Tampere.

Fi: "Nyt on kyllä kuuma päivä," sanoi Jukka ja pyyhki otsaansa.
En: "It's definitely a hot day," said Jukka, wiping his forehead.

Fi: Aino nyökkäsi ja otti vesipullon esiin.
En: Aino nodded and took out a water bottle.
