In late spring 2021, the COVID-19 pandemic appears to be waning (with some notable exceptions in the world). The spread of the virus has seen surged and retreated several times over the past 14 months. At the beginning of the worst spike in the U.S. during the fall and winter, Lansing journalist Carrie Steinweg caught the disease.
