Parfait !!!

The stories are very interesting and keep you motivated. The level of French is just right for someone who wants to improve his listening skills; but what I really appreciate is the quality of the speech. The tempo as well as the pronunciation is something you don’t find on every day life when you are trying to practice. My congratulations to you all!

Lessons in Empathy

My compliments to the entire team that has put together the fantastic Duolingo French podcast. The stories that you have chosen to narrate are exceptionally captivating and inspiring.

Mahmoud, Alexia, Elodie, Oliver, Cédric & Eric invite us to get immersed in the dilemmas and the motives that give meaning to their lives. Having as a common thread Ngofeen Mputubwele's beautiful voice, the values guiding each protagonist's life unravel in each episode: the relentless pursuit of excellence, the balancing of the difficulties regarding the issues of identity and parenting, the nostalgia for the country of origin, the refusal to negotiate our core beliefs, the commitment to humanism and the drive to pursue our passions against all odds, to name just a few...

In the end, all these diverse narratives converge to become lessons in empathy. The initial objective of improving the listening comprehension of the French language learners becomes secondary as the hero of each story takes center stage.

Looking forward to listening to the next season's episodes!
