Gist Corner with Naija Babe: I am sharing my experience with this NEW series on Amazon titled “Riches"
Wow…. I watched it this weekend, and it was a fantastic series. It’s only six episodes long. Not happy about that because I want more. Episode 1 is filled with DRAMA—a must-watch. My review on this show is five stars, or should I say 10 ++++ … a Great show, and I am hooked. It can be found on Amazon prime. This is the 1st Season and a new series, and I hope amazon renews for another season with 10 or more episodes. This show is HAWT, and do not miss watching it.
Anyone who knows me knows I love watching shows. It’s how I unwind and relax. I can watch anything but not period pieces.  I love mysteries, action, and documentaries. What I love about Riches is that it has a few African cast members, including Nigerians. It’s great to see a representation of myself and our culture in this series. All I can say is watch it. I Love the Naija phrases, Yoruba language, music, and accents. The click hanger, wawu… drama. There must be season 2, please, amazon. I dey beg una.
Abby Ajayi created the series Riches (2022), As well as the First Lady (2022) and Inventing Anna (2022). All great... I love her work.
PLOT: With the sudden death of their father, the family is left in disarray to determine the management of the family’s empire. It’s a series based in the UK and filled with drama. Africans are known for secrets, money drama when a parent passes, lies, cheating, paternity issues, etc. Let me not give away the plot; you will not be disappointed. The fashion is on point, and the story plot is around a cosmetic company; we know our peeps don’t play with looking good. I love the presentation of our people managing companies and wealth. We need to see more of that representation.
Summary and Conclusion: Thanks, audience, for your time and support. I will continue to share regular gist corners that bring awareness of great content that highlight our people and culture. Get ready for some gist and with no wahala. Please provide your feedback and join in the Polls/ Q & A.
