Is it just me or is modern-day motherhood starting to feel a bit..extra? Extra stylized, extra negative, extra “enjoy every second”, extra EVERYTHING. The constant advice, the ever-growing number of experts, the overabundance of staged content and neutral-hued children’s clothing that flood our social media- it seems near impossible to measure up.
As a seasoned mom of three, I’m still made to feel as though I care both too much and not enough when it comes to all things parenting, and I’m OVER IT. So join me as I plug my ears and say LALALA to the noise that’s sucked far too much joy out of motherhood. I won’t pretend to have the answers (because I definitely don’t) but I will hopefully help you find a little humor and community along the way.
