〜かどうか

 

[意味]

間接疑問文（かんせつぎもんぶん）

文の中に疑問詞（ぎもんし）を使っていない疑問文（ぎもんぶん）を埋め込ん（うめこん）で使う表現（ひょうげん）。

文の中にYesかNoで答えられる疑問文を埋め込んだ表現。

【例文】

・ビザが切れたら国へ帰るかどうか、まだ決めていません。

I haven't decided yet whether or not I will
go back to my country after my visa is expired.

 

・新しい家を買うかどうか、見てから決めます。

I'll decide whether to buy a house or not after I see it.
