    30 - Pitch Perfect

    30 - Pitch Perfect

Grab your USB sticks full of mashups and get ready to join an acapella group, we’re heading back to college for all of our thoughts on Pitch Perfect!

Was the music of 2012 the least timeless music ever made? Who made the choice to cast Ben platt & Skylar Astin, two identical white men as friends/roommates? Why are college freshman the absolute worst people on the planet? Is this the weirdest portrayal of college life in a movie? And why the fuck is her dad even here?!

Tangents include: nepotism in Hollywood, BTS, That 70’s Show, Glee’s overall influence on culture, and the concept of 'cool girls' because we can't stop giving our opinions on female friendships depicted in media!

    29 - Love Island Season 5

    29 - Love Island Season 5

We are back babes! Ready to chat about one of our all-time favorite reality TV shows: Love Island! We get into the extreme child-like qualities of this particular cast, the importance of charisma over conventional attractiveness, and of course, the finer details of what it means to be a Girl’s Girl.

Is this the best Casa Amor? How much would you have to pay us to be on the Bomb Squad? Why do the Brits seem to love an orange hue when it comes to tanning? Plus, our thoughts on the cast's current Instagram content & who's making the best promos for Hello Fresh.

It’s a long episode, but this was a long season y’all. Bad accents abound!

    28 - Stick It

    28 - Stick It

Break out your old Fall Out Boy CD and head back to the year 2006 with us as we discuss the seminal gymnastics classic, Stick It.

How does this movie interpret the juvenile justice system? Is this movie secretly union propaganda? Have we come to terms with Ally Sheedy’s unnecessary makeover in The Breakfast Club? Look, the soundtrack & end of this movie may not have held up, but the iconic performance of Hailey certainly has!

    27 - Every Little Step

    27 - Every Little Step

Classic, iconic, if you love (or honestly even if you hate) musical theatre, casting decisions, or *choices* we cannot recommend this movie enough. What's more meta than a documentary about the audition process for a Broadway show about audition processes?

Is there any element of A Chorus Line that we actually enjoy? How does a show even make it to Broadway in the first place? What makes a perfect Oscars acceptance speech? And why oh why does Nastacia wear that wig to the final auditions?!

Look, we may have melted down a bit in this episode but we DID get to finally share our many, many thoughts about Tyce Diorio!

26 - MTV's Legally Blonde The Musical: The Search For Elle Woods

26 - MTV's Legally Blonde The Musical: The Search For Elle Woods

This week we’re getting into the reality show with the wildest prize of all time, MTV’s Legally Blonde: The Musical — The Search For Elle Woods. PB Teen is back in a big way this episode as we journey on back to 2007, where necks were constantly covered in Tiffany necklaces and tiny scarves.

What are the ethics of haircuts on television? How many people were drunk during the production? Did the right person win this show? What is the spirit of Elle Woods and why do none of these girls seem to have it! Look, Bailey won’t always have the big hat to make us fall in love with her, but MTV will apparently never learn to test their mics before shooting the big belted numbers.

Honestly, we'd be down for a reboot of this show whenever Broadway is ready to reopen!

    25 - Sleepover (2004)

    25 - Sleepover (2004)

Today we’re tackling the immortal question, “who is redhead?” in our romp of a conversation about a movie that is so close to getting it right, Sleepover!

Why does Claire know the make, model, and features of the cellphones featured in this movie off the top of her head? Who determines the coolness factor of a lunch spot? Is straightening your hair the best way to identify your maturation? Are popular girls akin to the Pope?

Take a shot whenever we say “earned” and “generic” and check out the Baby Phat retrospective video essay mentioned: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGVTZs9SBsU

Tangents include: Darren Criss’s Vibes, America’s Next Top Model Season 1, the incredible movies of 2004, the rich text that is American Girl’s Care and Keeping Of You, and the disparity between the product and advertising of Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen.
