Alan was one of the early adopters of Hearthstone, the competitive esports card game. Mostly because he was involved in the creation and publishing of it, and eventually, its esports scene as we know it today. Esports may seem like a culture that's not very welcoming of other cultures. Like a country with strict border laws.
