Historical Challenges of Generational Wealth
Generational Wealth discussions are huge now. That is a great thing because it is so important, especially in the black community. However, while we are having these discussions, there are so many things that need to be taken into consideration while having them.
We can not have these discussions as black people, to black people without factoring in slavery, segregation, and redlining when we speak of using real estate as a way to build generational wealth. Let's look at all of that now.
Gratitude: Focusing on Life’s Positives
Life can come at you hard, but instead of focusing on the negatives changing your focus can alter your perspective for the better. Focusing on as little as three positive things can brighten your day and possibly even your entire life. Try it, then find me on social media and brighten my day with your story.
Being Present and Not Just Playing a Passive Role in Your Life
Adulting is hard, and not getting caught up in the everyday mundane parts of life is even harder. Life, work, kids, bills, and so much can take all of the fun out of life. That's especially the case for women, moms, wives, partners, and single moms. Honestly, the struggle is real sometimes.
As we get older, we can lose ourselves in the everyday tasks of life, like being a mom to your child, partner to your spouse and employee to your employer. We then just start to exist in our lives more than enjoy our lives.
In 2020 we should look to enjoy more of our lives by reconnecting to who we are, learning to love ourselves more, and become a bit more selfish. All of these things could increase our happiness level as well as those around us.
You have one life, you should be enjoying a lot more of it. So, dedicate yourself to making 2020 the decade of Being Present and Not Just Playing a Passive Role in Your Life.
