Drawing parallels between healthcare and other workplaces, the book highlights the damaging consequences of outdated models and language.
During our interview, Dr. Byrne describes the hallmark features of moral injury and provides examples of colleagues, clients, and patients who have experienced it. She offers a metaphor for understanding moral injury.
