The Deucecast Movie Show Michael Nipp

The second part of My Favorite Summer brings the drama this week -- as the Deucecast Movie Show crew gives their own list of the serious stories from the world of cinema.
 
Joining Mikey, d$, and #XLessDrEarl is the co-host of the Good Day 4 a Movie Podcast, Jacob Roth, aka Roth from Wyoming, as they chit-chat and then play a round of a game not played in these here parts in a while -- The Ryan Phillippe Game returns for the first time since 2022.
Then, the Top Ten Fave Dramatic Films... everyone has their own description, as some movies may be more of a dramedy than a drama... or maybe it's listed under drama for one, but will be in another category for another.
Legendary films like The Godfather make a few lists, 90s capers like True Romance is discussed, a tragedy unfolds in one film, a fort is defending in another, and movies from as far back as 1966 are covered, all the way up to last year.

 It's finally time for the summer and with it, the summer series at The Deucecast Movie Show! For the fourth... or fifth, who's counting... your fave movie podcast that you, but probably not any of your friends and definitely not most girls you know, are listening to is giving you a theme for the summer, a series of episodes intertwined with a common theme... this time, it's "My Favorite Summer". 
 
And for the summer, Dave, Mikey, and #XLessDrEarl will be giving you the top tens of their favorites across movie genres, like comedies, dramas, animation, and more, and tonight, the Classics.  And of course, to rank the classics is our fellow cinephile and film snob, the pride of Toccoa Falls, Garrison Ryfun!
 
First, a little round of Movie Trivia from The Book, and then, diving right in... all of our all time fave films from all the years, from the early days of film up until the cut-off of 1969. 
Legendary directors like Wilder, Hitchcock, Fleming, and Lumet... incredible performances from the likes of Cary, Stewart, Bogie, Audrey... and sweeping plantation epics to tiny jury rooms to creepy hotels to pool halls.  

It's only a short list of films this time, so obviously it would be a short ReFlicktions show, right?

Your long nightmare is over... as the Summer Movie Preview has returned!  Finally, Mikey, d$, and #XLessDrEarl give the dish, the skinny, the 411 if you will, on many of the upcoming films over the next few months!  With Anya Taylor-Joy set to ride the desert while Daisy Ridley swims the ocean, Will Smith Rides or Dies or Slaps, and Glen Powell has his big summer, and Harold Faltermeyer returns, and Dave Bautista goes soft... and Mikey not only Licks the Guest, but he also swoons over Costner... and much more! 
Plus, InternationEarl pays off!  The Good Doctor himself gives his rankings of the foreign films assigned to him.

It's a May Day and the summer movie season is kicking off, and the Deucecast crew spends a little time reflecting and remembering some great movie theater stories from way back in the day!
First up, making his debut on the show is local film maker and movie fan, new Friend of the Show, Bubba Willis.  We catch up a little with him and find out his movie proclivities, then we finally get back to Birthday Movies!  And we even mention Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen again!
Then, a brand new movie trivia game - can you name all the Harry Potter films??

Finally, Dave, Mikey, and #XLessDrEarl, with Bubba, list their fave movie experiences. High school, college, recently, or long ago, hanging out in theaters with friends, family, parents, dates, and even getting stood up (THANKS ALLISON).
