Karl Whelan has been Professor of Economics at University College Dublin since 2007. Previously, he worked for the Central Bank of Ireland and the Federal Reserve Board in Washington DC. Currently, Professor Whelan acts as an advisor to the European Parliament's Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee.

The speaker series hosts Marc O'Dwyer, one of Ireland's serial entrepreneurs. Marc was an award winning salesman with AIB, Pitney Bowes, and Panasonic, before moving into entrepreneurship and launching Irish International Sales. He has also started mobile phone and web design businesses, before buying a majority stake in his current venture BigRedBook, an accounting software business, and following this launched BigRedCloud back in 2012. Alongside his career in entrepreneurship, Marc has also represented Leinster rugby at U-16 and U-20, and competed in numerous marathons, triathlons, and ironman events across multiple countries.

Ronan Dunne is the CEO of Verizon Consumer Group, who serve over 100 million customers in the US and have lead the way in the development and deployment of 5G technology. Prior to this, Ronan was the CEO of Telefonica UK.
