This program features the preaching ministry of Pastor Paul Torres of Christian Community Church in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. He is known for his careful, verse by verse examination of the whole Scripture and loves to show how from Genesis to Revelation, the Bible truly is one book with one central figure - Jesus. "Daily Manna Weekend" is presented by The Rock Radio Network, a bilingual Bible teaching network centered in San Juan, Puerto Rico. We can be heard on our two live online streams and on WBMJ (AM-1190) San Juan Metro, WIVV (AM-1370) Vieques/VI, and WCGB (AM-1060) Juana Díaz/Ponce.

Standing firm for Christ . . . in good times (2)
Pastor Paul continues a new series looking at the book of First John. Last week he looked at some of the background information of the book. To whom it was addressed, what the world of their day looked like, what challenges they faced. Today Pastor Paul continues with that discussion, showing us the similarities between the believers then and now. Just as with the believers that the Apostle was writing to, Christians today are being pressured to give up their convictions as Christians to live like the world around them.

Standing firm for Christ . . . in good times
In this impactful book of the New Testament, we see the Apostle writing a letter to people who were under attack, not from persecution, but from affluence. They were being pressured to give up their convictions as Christians to live like the world around them. We had not planned it this way, but as things begin to normalize in Puerto Rico after Hurricane María, what better time to remind ourselves to serve Christ first in good times as well as bad?

We can trust the Word (2)
As Christians, we have to ask ourselves whether we really believe that the Bible is the written Word of God. In this message started last week, Pastor Paul continues with his series of preaching related to the historical and verbal accuracy of the Bible. Though its truths to not depend on these things, it’s always good to support our faith against attacks of the enemy and our own doubts by learning the facts of the matter. Well listen to this encouraging program, as Pastor Paul explains why we can have confidence not only in the truths, but also the inerrant accuracy, of our Bible.
