Rachel Friedman, MSW, ERYT 500, YACEP, is the founder of Beyond The Yoga Mat, and Soma Power Yoga where she helps people learn how to elevate their life through the power of yoga and somatics. She supports yoga facilitators, therapists, coaches, and healers in growing their biz and their impact.

Within her 25+ years in the wellness industry, Rachel has seen hundreds of people change their relationship with themselves through the power of yoga & somatics (aka - body-based healing).

Like many people, Rachel struggled with high-functioning anxiety for many years. On the outside everything appeared "good.' She had her own business, 2 great kids, and a husband. But inside it felt like at any moment everything was going to come crashing down. She was a tight ball of anxiety. Overthinking, overanalyzing everything. Struggling to get a good night's sleep, feeling completely exhausted and burnt out. Thinking that if she could just escape for a short amount of time everything would be ok. But even after a vacation, the feeling didn't go away.

It wasn't until Rachel learned how to tune into her body using yoga & somatic practices that she was able to change the relationship she had with herself and her anxiety. Instead of trying to make the anxiety go away, she learned how to UnShame it and use its energy to enhance her life.
